Waterpark Simulator Achievements and Secret Ones

Most achievements are volume milestones: sell 500 of an item, clean 500 of something, or hit a visitor or money threshold. A few stay hidden until you unlock them, including Nailed it! which needs 500 attractions cleaned on Normal or Hard.

The named achievements

AchievementWhat it asks for
Meating ExpectationsSell 500 hotdogs
Squeeze the daySell 500 lemonades
Cold Hard CashSell 500 ice creams
Making WavesHave 20 visitors in your park
HustlerEarn $10,000
Sweep DreamsClean 500 trash items
Nothing left to learnComplete the research tree

The pattern is obvious once you see it laid out: the game rewards sustained operation rather than clever play. Nearly every entry is a counter that ticks while you run your park normally.

Earning them without grinding

Because most achievements are counters, the difference between an easy run and a tedious one is whether the counters are ticking in the background from early on.

  • Run all three food types from the start — hotdogs, lemonade and ice cream are three separate 500-sale counters.
  • Clean as you play rather than in batches. Trash cleanup feeds both an achievement and research points.
  • Visitor and money milestones arrive on their own if the park keeps growing.
  • Research everything eventually — Nothing left to learn wants the full tree.

Hidden achievements

Steam conceals the description of a hidden achievement from anyone who has not unlocked it. The name may show; the requirement does not. That is why lists of secret achievements online are incomplete and occasionally wrong — they are assembled from players reporting back after the fact. Hidden items and places that are not achievements, like the golden sledgehammer, are on the secrets page.

Slip Happens stuck at 0 or 55 out of 100

Slip Happens counts guests slipping over in your park, and from late August its counter was frozen for a lot of people. The Steam thread that tracks it opened on 23 August with a player stuck at 0 on single-player Normal, and over the following two weeks fifteen others reported the same: stuck at 55/100 with twenty visible slips a day not registering, stuck in multiplayer too, stuck while actively mopping so guests fall. Everything else on their lists kept unlocking.

No need we seen this already, trust me. This week's update should solve the situation where the counter stops on Steam

  • It was a known bug, not a hidden condition. Difficulty is not the gate here the way it is for Nailed it!.
  • Nobody in the thread reported the counter catching up on its own, so slips recorded during the freeze are probably lost — expect to carry on from the number you were stuck at rather than jumping forward.
  • Consoles are behind PC. The fix is in the Steam build; the studio said on 11 September that this content was merged for consoles and in testing, so a PS5 or Xbox counter may still be frozen.
  • If it is still frozen on the current Steam build, that is a new report worth making — note the build number first.

Console trophies: fixed on Xbox 28 August, PS5 10 September

The list above is the Steam one. On consoles the same achievements shipped broken at launch and were repaired in two platform patches: Xbox build 1.0.62.2x on 28 August and PlayStation build 1.0.62.29p on 10 September, the latter finally making the Platinum obtainable. Both patches also changed Full House to trigger at 70 guests.

  • Already-earned trophies unlock in waves after the patch: some on continuing play, more after one in-game day, and the money ones on your next purchase or on turning night shift on.
  • Enlightenment isn't cheap: save before paying Yogi, collect the trophy, reload.
  • Guests fouling the pools: remove every toilet so they have no alternative.
  • Repair within five seconds: stand next to something that is about to break. Players on 10 September suggested waiting beside a building while a tornado wrecks it and repairing at once, or starting a fresh park with a low-level pool, which breaks quickly. Five mechanics on staff make it harder, because they fix things before you get there.
  • All research: players report the museum quests are not needed — it is the main park research tree that counts — though one player with everything researched said the trophy still had not popped.
  • The tips trophy still has no confirmed method beyond playing normally.

The PS5 page has the full 10 September patch and the reports behind these tips; the updates page tracks each console build.

Achievements and multiplayer

If you played a lot of co-op early on and your achievement progress looked wrong, that was a real bug rather than a misunderstanding. A patch fixed achievements not progressing as intended during multiplayer.

Progress is tracked per-park in general, so work done in someone else's world may not credit your own objectives the way you expect. If you are chasing a specific counter, do it in your own park.

There was also a specific fix for the Nothing left to learn achievement not triggering under certain conditions, so if you completed the research tree early in the game's life and it never popped, updating and re-checking is worth doing.

Trading cards and badges

Separate from achievements, the game has Steam Trading Cards. The studio announced seven cards drawn by one of their regular artists based on moments in the game, plus six duck badges and three profile backgrounds featuring the characters Sandy and Sunny.

These are collected by playing and trading rather than by completing objectives, so they are not something you can grind directly. They are worth knowing about if you care about Steam profile decoration.

Why achievement guides go stale

The game has been patched weekly since launch, and community achievement guides carry their own warnings about being outdated. Requirements have shifted, and at least one achievement had its trigger conditions fixed.

Steam's own achievement page for the game is the one place that stays current, because it is generated from the game itself rather than maintained by hand.
