Waterpark Simulator Injuries: Heal Guests and Stop the Fines

Take the medkit injector from the medkit in the staff building, walk to the injured guest and click when the prompt says Heal Guest. Guests who are not treated can be taken away by ambulance, and injuries cost you fines. The causes players report most are slides and diving boards that do not end over water, low-tier equipment, and a handful of slides that throw guests out.

  1. When an injury notification pops up, go to the staff building and aim at the red medkit. The prompt reads Take Medkit Injector.
  2. Find the guest. They are lying on the ground, or floating if it happened in a pool.
  3. Get close until they are outlined and the prompt says Heal Guest, then left-click.
  • Bandaged

    Partly injured

    Bandages

A guest covered in bandages. Injured visitors have shown a band-aid since 0.2.74, which the patch notes put down to better visuals.

  • Unconscious

    Fully injured

    Knocked out

Out cold on the ground or in the water. A guest can go from healthy straight to this stage, though the bandage stage usually comes first. Left too long, these are the guests who leave in the ambulance, and you are fined for it.

The two stages as a player described them on the Steam forum in August 2026: "usually they go through the bandage stage first".

Healing one this way is also Lifesaver Protocol, "Save injured visitor with the Injector", one of the achievements that only count on Normal or Hard.

Why your guests keep getting hurt

CauseWhat players sawWhat helped
Slide or diving board ends on or behind the pool edgeInjuries clustered around slides and boards; one player called it "the most common reason"Move the item so its end is clearly over the water
Low-tier equipmentInjuries fell sharply once pools, slides and boards were 3-star and up; one player had none in weeks after clearing everything under 4 starsReplace rusty and 1–2 star pieces; the build menu shows a safety rating on each
A few specific slidesGuests falling out of the tier 4 green and yellow slide, the curved inflatable slide and twisty slides in Early Access; in September 2026, the flame loop dropping guests between its two halvesSwap that slide and see if the injuries stop
An empty poolGuests jump in anywayFill a new pool before opening; since 14 August 2026 jumping into an empty pool injures guests again

The fix repeated most often in Early Access threads was upgrading equipment, though it did not help everyone: another player saw guests "drop like flies" in old and new pools alike. One Early Access player whose guests were "dropping 2-3 at a time" upgraded every pool to at least 2 stars and every slide and board to 3, and reported the next business day "only saw a couple of drowners, no injuries". The 5-star park guide covers getting the money and prestige for those upgrades.

Fines, and when you are not punished

Injuries cost money. Early Access players reported losing more than $100 a shift, one over $200, and one "like $500 a shift" during the worst of it. Several patches since have carved out cases where the game no longer charges you:

  • The 50/50 slide: "The 50/50 slide doesn't punish you if your visitors get hurt while using it." (0.2.92)
  • A failed jump from a diving board: guests have a low chance to ragdoll off the board, and "If they get injured when this happens, the player is not punished (no fines)" (14 August 2026).
  • Diving board injuries and fines that should not have happened were fixed in 1.0.63 (18 August 2026).
  • Hitting a cheater: since 1.0.30 the damage multiplier is the same on every difficulty, "no more penalties for hitting a cheater".

The August 2026 injury spike

In mid-August players suddenly saw guests hurt far from any slide. One Steam report counted guests launched out of official tier 3 slides about 30 percent of the time; others had guests dropping near bathrooms and food stalls, and even getting injured outside the fence on land the park did not own yet.

Fixed a case where injuries were frame rate dependent, causing unintended injuries.
UPDATE 1.0.63 patch notes[developer]· 18 August 2026

The same notes fixed guests injured outside the park limits "not being reachable for lifeguard", which suggests lifeguards do go to injured guests in 1.0. In Early Access it was not: a player who hired a lifeguard for injuries found he "totally ignores injuries". If random injuries continue on a current version, look at your slides before blaming the patch, and keep the injector for the ones your staff miss.
