Yes, Waterpark Simulator has mods. Nexus Mods is the main host and listed 65 mods when we checked. Most are quality-of-life tweaks for staff, cleaning and building rather than new content.

Where the mods live

Nexus Mods hosts the active Waterpark Simulator page, and its own listing header read "Browse 65 mods for Waterpark Simulator" when we checked on 2 September 2026.

The page splits them into two categories: Miscellaneous with 47 entries and Mods with 18. Forty-two are tagged English. Those counts move as people upload, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a fixed figure.

This is a PC-only situation. Nothing we found suggests mods can be installed on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox versions, and console platforms generally do not allow it.

What people are actually modding

The bulk of the popular uploads are labour-savers. They target the parts of park management that get repetitive once your park is large — staff stats, cleaning, repairs and task completion.

A second, smaller group adds things the base game does not have at all, such as a photo mode or in-park video screens. These are the ones that change how the game feels rather than how fast it goes.

The text chat mod fills a deliberate gap

The game ships with voice chat and no built-in text chat, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. The developer account explained the reasoning: the game needs the keyboard constantly, typing does not work on the console versions, and text messages bring their own moderation problems.

The community mod that adds text chat exists precisely because of that. Its author describes it as being for people who would rather not talk — useful context if you assumed the feature was simply missing.

Things worth knowing before you install

Mods track game versions. One of the more downloaded staff mods is explicitly an updated fork of someone else's, tested against version 1.0.50 — which tells you the base game's patches do break mods periodically.

The game has been patched frequently since launch, with public patch notes through August 2026. If a mod stops working after an update, a version mismatch is the first thing to check.

A save editor is also among the uploads. Editing saves carries the usual risk of corrupting a park you care about, so back up your save first.

  • Mods are PC only — no evidence of console mod support
  • Check the mod's tested game version against your build
  • Back up saves before using a save editor
  • Nothing here requires or involves a redemption code — the game has none

Mods versus trainers and cheat tables

Nexus mods and cheat trainers get searched for together, but they are different things. Mods are files you install into the game; trainers and cheat tables are external programs that alter memory while the game runs.

Several of the Nexus uploads blur that line, since maxing all staff stats or completing any task with a keypress is functionally a cheat delivered as a mod. Which route you prefer is mostly about whether you want an external tool running alongside the game.
