Waterpark Simulator Custom Slides: Building for Prestige

Slides are built segment by segment, so you control the curves, loops and drops. Longer, more complex runs score higher prestige, and the five-star objective needs two slides at 4 prestige each.

How building works

You place slide pieces one at a time rather than dropping a prefabricated ride. That is the whole point of the system — the shape is yours, including the mistakes. It is also why two players' parks never look the same.

  1. Pick a start height. Taller starts give you room for drops later.
  2. Lay the run, adding loops and spirals rather than long straight sections.
  3. Watch the prestige figure as you build; it climbs with length and complexity.
  4. Finish with a landing that has open space around it, not a path.

A patch added the ability to rename a custom slide after it is built, alongside renaming the park itself, which sounds minor but matters a lot when a large park has a dozen of them and you are trying to remember which one an objective is about.

Designing for prestige

Star objectives ask for slides at specific prestige levels — two at 4 prestige for five stars. A plain slide will not hit that no matter how expensive it was, because prestige rewards complexity and decoration, not cost.

  • Length and height both raise the rating.
  • Loops and spirals raise it faster than straight extensions.
  • Decorate the ground around the slide — it counts toward the slide's prestige.
  • Check the number before you commit, not after you pay for a run that scores 3.

Custom pools are not in yet

A frequent request is custom pools to match custom slides, so a bespoke run can land in a shape that fits it. That is a community suggestion rather than a shipped feature — the developers have acknowledged the idea but not committed to it.

One thing that is easy to get wrong: the exit. A spectacular slide that dumps guests onto a walkway creates a jam that costs you rating. Give the landing open space, the same rule that applies to park layout generally. If a slide is already in the wrong place, move it rather than breaking it.
