Waterpark Simulator Updates: Patch Notes and 1.1 Roadmap

The newest Waterpark Simulator update is 1.0.91, released on 11 September 2026. It adds shelves for your supplies, vendors who can run several stands at once, and the option to give a member of staff the day off. It also fixed the two bugs the developers had promised that week: the frozen Slip Happens counter and the painting achievement that would not trigger. The developers ship roughly one update a week, and have confirmed lazy rivers for the bigger 1.1 update — which they say will now come more slowly.

What is in the latest update

Update 1.0.91 landed on 11 September and is the build to be on. Its three new features all answer long-standing complaints about supply and staff micromanagement. Shelves give dropped supplies somewhere to live: buy stock in Caymart, carry it near a shelf and drop it, and the boxes jump onto the shelf on their own, ready for you or your staff to restock any stand or vending machine from. You unlock shelves early, in the research table under the park tab.

The second feature is multi-stand vendors. After a research unlock under the park tab — one the developers put late in the tree, because "only the best vendors will be able to handle this workload" — a single vendor can be assigned to several stands at once, and each of those stands shows that vendor's nameplate. The third is the day off: open staff management, pick an employee, and press the Day off button next to Fire. They take the day and you do not pay them, but the option only appears in the early part of the day, so you cannot work someone all day and then hand them a free one at the last hour.

  • The frozen Slip Happens counter is fixed — see the achievements page for what that means if yours has been stuck since August.
  • Painting no longer fails to trigger its achievement, the paint bug the studio acknowledged on 8 September.
  • Spamming the plunger gun should no longer make your hands disappear and break the game until you restart, though players in the bug thread said it still happened on 1.0.91.
  • Cleaners no longer get stuck inside the 3-star trash bin, and guests no longer get stuck in the 5-star wellness slide or the pirate diving board.
  • Staff thoughts and bullying bad visitors have both been taken out of the daily report.
  • Wellness slides keep their colour between sessions, and the beach entrance and the corner wall by the entrance can now be painted.
  • Pool plugs in multiplayer can be disabled for non-hosts in the park management options.
  • A pointer now shows you where the yogi is when you first unlock their missions.
  • Signs and arches support Chinese characters, and the game gained a Greek translation.
Ok we rolled back, since it seems to be affecting a couple of you guys. We will see what is going on since none of us had anything like this during the whole week of tests

What the 28 August update added

The patch before 1.0.91 is still worth knowing, because its headline feature is the park logo: open the tablet in-game, follow the shortcut to the logo folder, and your flyers and posters pick up the new image. It is single-player only, and the developers have since confirmed it will stay PC-only because of console platform rules. The same patch added arches and signs you can write on, which the developers said was the most requested zoning tool, and it stopped items dropped on the floor from despawning when you quit.

  • The rainbow now appears on both sides — the notes say "no spoilers", which tells you it is a secret worth chasing.
  • The Nothing left to learn achievement no longer fails to trigger in some situations, and the Zen Towel is easier to see.
  • Shop supplies and chlorine survive quitting and reloading; each research table only shows its own tab totals.
  • Grid and snapping were reworked to line up with the floor, and notifications can be filtered under game settings.
  • The fire loop is now available for custom slides.
  • Trashers and invisible guests get a pop-up explaining what they are, and the invisible-guest chance was lowered after the developers admitted they had set it far too high.
  • An accessibility setting turns off the YouTuber cameo guests. Qeso is a special event, not a cameo, so it stays.

What the developers say is coming next

Both fixes promised in the week of 8 September shipped in 1.0.91: the paint spot that ignored the brush, and the Slip Happens counter that had been frozen for a lot of players since late August. If yours is still stuck after updating, check the build number in the corner of the main menu before reporting it.

What comes next is deliberately slower. Announcing 1.0.91 the studio said new content "will slow down a bit" while they build the bigger 1.1 features, which "do take its time to be produced, and we'd rather not rush them" — lazy rivers being the one named example. Bug-fix patches still ship as needed. Alongside the announcement they asked players to share their parks, so the team can design lazy rivers around how people actually lay parks out instead of guessing; the collection thread is linked from the announcement.

For consoles, the studio account said on 11 September that 1.0.91 and the content before it are "already merged by the porting company we work and will be tested out before release very soon", arriving with console-specific fixes and the possible increase to a 150 building limit. The park logo is the one new feature that will stay PC-only, because of console platform rules. Nothing in the notes or replies mentions Mac, Switch or crossplay — see the Mac page and the platforms page for where those stand.

Patch history since 1.0

1.0 launched on 31 July at the Early Access price of $12.99 — the studio had planned to go to $19.99 and publicly decided not to. The first week brought three patches in four days; from 7 August the developers said they would try to hold to one update a week unless something urgent came up, and that cadence has held.

Updates on PlayStation 5 and Xbox

Console patches are not announced on Steam. They have their own page on the developers' website and are cross-posted to the game's subreddit by the studio account, and they lag the PC build by two to three weeks because every one goes through a porting company and platform certification first. The studio's own words on 28 August: "Consoles updates are always a bit behind". The 10 September PlayStation patch is the one that finally made every trophy obtainable; Xbox got its equivalent on 28 August.

DatePlatformBuildWhat changed
20 AugPS51.0.62.1pBrought the console up to the PC content of 1.0.63: staff quitting, the Mafia fighting back, Saboteurs, custom slide naming, lobby settings, the ban button. Trophy fixes were explicitly not in it yet.
28 AugXbox1.0.62.2xThe same content sync plus an overall graphics-quality lift, a more robust save system, and every achievement fixed. Announced 24 hours ahead so players could unlock them first.
10 SepPS51.0.62.29p (1.000.010)All trophies fixed and the Platinum obtainable; public multiplayer lobbies; Full House now triggers at 70 guests; a fix aimed at the hard-to-spot Zen Towel; the weekend save-loading failure resolved.
From the patch-notes section of waterparksimulator.com. Builds carry a p or x suffix for the platform; the PlayStation store shows its own 1.000.0xx number alongside.

The 10 September notes also say what is next for consoles: a content update "very soon" to close the gap with PC (the reply on Reddit, when a player asked for Kade the lifeguard, was that it is already in the notes), a test that may raise the unique-building cap to 150, and an open investigation with the porting company into black screens at launch and the frame-rate drop some players get from certain trash cans. Trophy specifics, and how players got stuck ones to pop, are on the PS5 page and the achievements page.

If a fix you read about in the Steam table has not reached your console yet, that is the expected gap, not a missing feature. Mods and trainers, which several of the notes reference, are PC-only regardless — see the PS5 and Xbox pages.

Why you cannot roll back an update

When a player asked on 13 August whether an older build could be offered under Steam's beta tab, the way many games do, the developers declined and explained why.

Unfortunately, that is very risky in this kind of game. You can easily break saves when rolling back. Saves are forward-compatible, but rolling back may cause problems.
Hai Cayplay[developer]· 13 August 2026

So if an update seems to have broken something, the route is forward, not back. The one failure the studio has documented is an install file getting corrupted during the download, which shows up as a park that loads empty: close the game and run a Steam file verification. For crashes or a big frame-rate drop after a patch they ask for your log files. The troubleshooting page has the crash fixes, and the save file page has the folder paths and the backup-save trick.

Where the official patch notes live

  • The Steam news hub for the game carries every PC announcement in full.
  • Console patches live in the patch-notes section of waterparksimulator.com, the developers' own site, and are cross-posted to r/waterparksimulator by the studio account.
  • A pinned Steam discussion called Patch notes history is maintained by the developers, with the newest update always in the first comment.
  • The studio Discord gets the same notes and is where they ask for log files.

This page is updated as each announcement lands. If you are trying to work out whether a specific bug is already fixed, the troubleshooting page keeps a list of fixed issues by patch, and the achievements page tracks the counters that have broken and been repaired.
