Where Is the Zen Towel in Waterpark Simulator? Find It Fast

What the quest actually says

The objective that follows reads "Find and bring back Zen Towel 0/1" and sits on the task list under the header Zen and the Art of Pool Maintenance — the second block of Yogi's line, after Path of Slight Enlightenment. It comes right after the sauna step that asks you to relax 20 guests, and right before Channel Energy Through Guests. Nothing in the text tells you where the towel is, which is why this is the most-searched step of the whole Yogi quest line.

Where it spawns

There is no universal location. The towel is placed inside your park boundary when the quest starts, and since every park is player-built, a screenshot with an arrow only shows you someone else's park. What is consistent is the kind of place it lands in.

• On a path near a pool — one player found it within a few steps of Yogi, beside their lagoon pool.
• Floating on the surface of a pool.
• Half inside a shower cabin, where only a corner of it shows.
• Inside a pool at a spot you cannot reach, which makes the quest look bugged.
• Clipped through a changing-room or toilet stall with only a corner showing — reported on 10 September by a player who had restarted, run a night shift and lifted everything in build mode before finding it.
• On top of the water of a pirate pool, in plain sight, right after the 10 September PlayStation patch — the same player had failed for days on the build before it.

A search order that works

1. 1Press F1 for the free camera and fly over the park. A small towel on the ground is far easier to spot from above than at eye level — the camera arrived in the 14 August update.
2. 2Walk the perimeter path. Most finds are on ground you can simply walk to.
3. 3Look at every pool surface. A floating towel is easy to miss against the water.
4. 4Check showers and changing cabins, including the gap between the cabin and the wall.
5. 5If it is inside a pool where you cannot pick it up, open build mode and move or delete that pool, then grab it.
6. 6Carry it back to Yogi and hand it over. He may still look towel-less afterwards — that is cosmetic, the step completes.

If it is genuinely not there

Some towels never spawn where a player can see them, and the developers have said so twice. The 28 August Steam patch "improved visibility of Yogi towel for the quest", and the 10 September PlayStation build lists a "possible solution to cases where finding the Yogi towel was hard to spot". On Xbox the fix has not been called out yet: a group of four friends on 10 September reported that only one of them could find theirs.

• Update first. On PS5 that means 1.000.010 or later; check the updates page for what has shipped on your platform.
• Then search again from the top of the list above — the post-patch find was sitting on open water.
• Locked plots are a theory, not a confirmed spawn: one player suggested it, and the player who asked had every section unlocked.
