Waterpark Simulator Rainbow: How to Get the Treasure Chest

On some days a rainbow appears over the park, and at its far end — outside the park, past the invisible wall — sits a treasure chest worth $5,000. You cannot walk to it. The route players use is the Duck Gun ($20,000): look down, hold fire and spam jump so the recoil carries you onto Caymart and over the wall, then cross to the chest.

What the rainbow is

The rainbow is a weather roll, not a quest. On the days it lands, a rainbow icon sits next to the in-game clock and an arc appears over the city skyline behind your park. Nothing is added to the task list, no achievement tracks it, and a full 100% run never has to touch it. It is an easter egg — but one with money at the end.

Follow the arc and it ends outside the park boundary, near a spawn area with an ambulance parked by it. That is where the treasure chest sits, with a few coins floating above it so you can spot it from a distance. The arc is faint on some displays, so watch the icon by the clock rather than the sky if you keep missing it.

How to reach the chest

The chest is behind the invisible wall, so walking ends before you get there. Build mode and the free camera (F1) will show it to you but cannot pick it up. The route players found uses the Duck Gun's recoil as a rocket jump.

  1. Buy the Duck Gun ($20,000) from the old man at Caymart and equip it.
  2. Look straight down, hold fire and spam jump. Each shot pushes you upward.
  3. Sprint sideways as you rise to steer. An auto-clicker makes the climb faster, but holding fire works.
  4. Land on top of Caymart and keep climbing until you are above the invisible wall.
  5. Cross toward the end of the rainbow and drop onto the platform with the chest.
  6. Interact with the chest — the prompt reads "Pickup Money" — and $5,000 lands in your balance.

Why older videos say you cannot get there

The rainbow was in the game before the chest was reachable. Footage from 26 August shows two players spotting the rainbow on day 15, flying to it in build mode and deciding it was an easter egg they could not touch. Two days later the patch notes listed a rainbow change, and footage from early September shows the chest being collected with the Duck Gun. If your rainbow has nothing at the end, make sure the game is updated before you spend $20,000 on the gun.

There is no code or console command for it — this game has no redemption system — and it is not something a trainer unlocks. The rocket jump is the only route in current footage. If you are chasing every hidden thing, the golden sledgehammer and golden beach ball are on the secrets page, and the Yogi quest line is the other block of content that plays like a riddle.
