Waterpark Simulator Prestige: How Build Ratings Work

Prestige is a rating on each thing you build. Star objectives ask for specific prestige levels — two 4-prestige slides for five stars, a 6-prestige Wonder Attraction for Diamond. Size, complexity and surrounding decoration raise it.

Per-build, not per-park

The single most important thing to understand about prestige is that it attaches to individual builds. Your overall park can be beautiful and still fail a prestige objective, because the game is scoring one specific slide or attraction, not the average.

That changes how you approach the endgame. Instead of raising everything a little, you pour resources into a few showpiece builds and let the plain functional ones stay plain.

What raises a build's prestige

  • Length and height — a taller, longer slide scores higher.
  • Complexity — loops, spirals and drops raise it faster than straight extensions.
  • Surrounding decoration — props and decoration near the build feed its rating.
  • The prestige number is shown while building, so watch it rather than guessing.

The research dependency

Prestige and research are tangled together. A mid-game objective can ask for props at a prestige level that requires an item you have not researched yet, which is why players report being stuck at two stars with no obvious path forward.

The cost curve

Getting a build to 6 prestige is a serious money sink. This is by design — it is the Diamond gate, the last thing in the progression, and it is meant to consume a mature park's budget.

Because the $1,000,000 earnings requirement for Diamond usually arrives first, the practical experience is earning the money comfortably and then spending a long time affording and tuning the one attraction that clears 6 prestige.

If you are stuck one prestige short, the fix is almost always more decoration around the build rather than making the structure itself bigger. People consistently under-decorate.

Slides versus the Wonder Attraction

The two prestige objectives ask for different build types, and they behave differently. The five-star gate wants two slides at 4 prestige, which is achievable with a pair of good custom slides. The Diamond gate wants a single Wonder Attraction at 6 prestige, which is a much larger, more expensive structure.

That difference matters for how you spend. Two 4-prestige slides can be built and decorated in parallel as your park grows. The 6-prestige Wonder Attraction is a deliberate late-game project you commit to once, so it is worth planning its location and surrounding decoration before you start rather than retrofitting.
